Day 7–to Navarrete—Sunday Strollers—4/28/2024

After yesterday‘s rains, I was pleased to see that the early morning sun brought clear blue skies as I made my way along the Camino Santiago.

The landscape along the way was almost entirely vineyards as I made my way to Logroño.

The trail on the way to Logroño passed through one of the few forest that I’ve come to along the trail.

Once in town, I found a great breakfast place and helped myself to two OJs an egg sandwich and coffee.

Had some interesting artwork here dedicated to the Pellegrino’s along the Camino Santiago along with some beautiful churches.

North of town there was a very large park area that I passed through with many locals enjoying a beautiful Sunday in this park. near the north end of the park at lake called Pantano de La Granjera that we walked around.

It was a little further where I stayed at the Casa Peregrino Angel in Naverrete where I again had a one pot dinner of vegetarian paella, which add mushy vegetables and gummy rice. I’m no fan of the one pot dinners for the pilgrim set dinners, and hope to avoid them in the future.
